BUPA is the largest independent health and care organisation in the UK with around three million people trusting their health to them. BUPA make every effort to ensure that their members receive high standards of medical treatment and have access to some of the most up to date medical facilities.

Although BUPA is the best know UK health insurance provider their real strength is in the group market; BUPA is seldom our recommended provider for individual and family cover. BUPA is the only private health insurer to have developed a network of specialist centres for the treatment of certain common cancers.

In April 2007, BUPA launched two new Budget type policies:

• ClientChoice
• Client Choice Essentials

Both policies are available on Underwritten or Moratorium terms; this is the first time BUPA has offered Moratorium terms.

ClientChoice provides Full cover for inpatient and day-care treatment and £500 towards outpatient consultations and therapies, MRI, CT and PET scans are covered in full as in radiotherapy and chemotherapy

ClientChoice Essentials provides the same cover as ClientChoice but without the £500 towards outpatient consultations and therapies.

We welcome this new initiative from BUPA as for too long their policies for the non group market have been overpriced compared to other providers.
