Global Care
Global Care provides extensive medical cover for individuals living and working overseas. It includes full cover for eligible in-patient and day-patient treatment, and limited cover for out-patient treatment at any hospital within the area of cover purchased.

Clients are also entitled to extra benefits such as round the clock assistance to help you arrange the treatment you need, short-term cover for holidays and business trips to a higher area of cover, plus access to a 24 hour medical information line.

Unlimited choice of hospitals
Global Care policyholders are able to choose where you're treated, with an unlimited number of hospitals, within your selected area of cover.

24 hour medical information line and emergency support
You can have access to 24 hour emergency medical assistance and evacuation, and healthcare experts at the end of a phone line 24 hours a day, who can offer help and advice.

Worldwide cover
Global Care offers cover within a selected area for people living and/or working outside their country of nationality. Clients are also entitled to up to 60 days' short-term cover for holidays and business trips in higher rated areas than those selected, for emergency treatment only.

Online access
With online access, clients can manage their policies, update or change their details at any time, anywhere in the world.

Chronic conditions
While most PMI products only cover short-term (acute) medical conditions, Global Care also covers the routine management of chronic conditions up to £5,000 or €/$7,500 per person, per policy year, as standard.

Affordable rates
Global Care offers a choice of healthcare schemes so clients can choose a level of benefits to match their budget. To keep premiums affordable Norwich Union has divided the world into five healthcare ratings. They do this to keep it fair; it means that clients living in less expensive areas don't end up subsidising those living in areas where healthcare is more expensive. Premiums can be paid in pounds sterling, US dollars or Euros. Benefit limits apply in the currency in which the premium is paid.

Global Care Plus
If you require a more comprehensive policy you can opt for Global Care Plus. This includes cover for consultations with a general medical practitioner, incorporating prescribed drugs and dental benefit for routine care. It also includes normal conditions of pregnancy, a wellness benefit, some psychiatric cover and increased limits on many other benefits.
