PruHealth Pulls Free Gym Promise
PruHealth is changing the terms of its medical insurance policy in a move that could see some members, who currently receive free gym membership, paying as much as 600 a year to work out.
The change, which comes into effect on 1 November, will mean the gym membership fee is based on the policyholder's vitality status rather than the number of times they use the gym. This will mean that all policyholders apart from those with platinum status will pay more for their gym membership. Additionally, no-one within the M25 will qualify for free membership.
A PruHealth spokeswoman said it had made the changes to coincide with the introduction of three new partners - travel companies Eurostar and Mark Warner and cinema chain Cineworld.
